Work Attire

So at this point in my life I am working the weird limbo college job, but a great college job at that, but none the less after being there for a few years I find I am in a work clothes rut! I can pretty much wear whatever at work as long as it covers tattoos, no shorts or tanks, but skirts and dresses are fine as long as you have tights or nylons on. So not to bad, yet I've never actually worn a skirt or dress to work being that I do custom framing at a local craft store. It does tend to get kind of dusty and gross on some days. Plus the tattoo on the calf of my leg doesn't help the matter! So I am stuck in an endless cycle of skinny jeans, v-neck tees and cardigans. Comfortable for this nasty Wisconsin weather. Lately though I have had such an urge to spice things up. I love skirts and dresses and live in them all summer long, and lately I have noticed some great styles from some other bloggers that I just might have to start working into my daily routine!

She always has such the perfect combinations of cute pencil skirt/tight/comfy shoes/flattering tee. I think I could definately take a few tips from this outfit.

This lovely lady always has such great ways to mix up a simple dress with lots of layers!! Key to keeping warm in Wisconsin weather.

I love this look from Keiko Lynn that keeps in feminine and professional, I think I am now going to be on the hunt for some long sleeve tops with great details like this one.

I think these looks incorporating many layers and a mix of basics with a few key pieces could really help turn my work wardrobe around this winter. Any other suggestions are more than welcome!

Ps. I know I haven't showed an outfit post quite yet so some of you may be wondering what in the world my work outfits do look like, so stay tuned tomorrow for a few outfit shots!
